December 3, 2012 in All Posts, Celebrate, Christmas, Play, Preschool, Toddler Activities

It’s time – once again – for one of my favorite projects: the Creative Christmas Countdown!

Creative Holiday Art and Craft Activities for Kids

Alissa from Creative with Kids spearheaded last year’s inaugural virtual crafty advent calendar for kids (check out all 24 ideas again for more inspiration).  And she’s back this year with Maggy of Red Ted Art showcasing 24 more awesome crafts and activities for you and your children to do together while you countdown the days to Christmas from 24 fabulous kids activities bloggers …Creative Holiday Activities and Crafts for Kids

…including us on the 17th!

Everyday you can click to open a day on the virtual calendar to reveal the day’s activity.

Days 1 through 3 are already underway with a Gingerbread Man Stand Up Greeting Cards from Red Ted Art, an Ornament Making Station from A Mom With a Lesson Plan, and Homemade Wrapping Paper from The Imagination Tree.  I love love love the way the ornament making station and homemade wrapping paper ideas let your child be completely involved in the decorating process and engage in open-ended art.  And isn’t the stand up cart the cutest?! Sure beats $10 storebought cards that all look the same.

Since we’re in the middle of a move and I have *GASP* packed up almost all of our art and craft materials, I’ll be mainly be sharing these activities with you this month on the blog. Here’s the activity and supplies list so you can gather up everything you’ll need to craft along with us.

Happy Holidays!
