CRAVE IT. COVET. LOVE IT. This Week: Love Turning Violence Into Beauty
October 12, 2011 in All Posts, CRAVE IT. COVET. LOVE IT.
This week I’m loving the idea of turning violence into beauty, like the way designer Ellen Miller of Botticelli’s Niece has designed these brass flake necklaces from spent bullet casings:
Isn’t this a much better use for bullets? Maybe I don’t look like or technically qualify as a hippie, but I do believe we should all make art, not war.
My personal favorite is the Double Bullet Flake necklace ($150). Check out more of Botticelli’s Niece’s designs here or visit one of these stores.

I guess my first thought is….don’t those contain lead? hahaha! We never ate anything on the range to avoid ingesting lead residue.
Beautiful, for sure- hopefully not toxic.
Now, who’s the joykill?
Ha ha ha ha! Oh, my dear, I think I am the bigger joykill by far, given my background and all
But yes, you’re putting a dent in my fashion excitement . . . I’m going to have to be careful about what I post now! Well, according to Alicia Silverstone, who “e-mailed” me about it and its virtues, it’s “Kind” - for what that’s worth!
