You may have overdosed on all my Valentine’s Day posts around here and maybe you’ve had it up to here with all the hearts and love and pink and red mushy gushy. But this post, dear readers, is definitely worth your time.

I’m so pleased to share that I am part of a beautiful collaboration with over 70 other bloggers spearheaded by my friend Jamie at hands on : as we grow, called The Heart Project, a fundraiser for The American Heart Association, in honor of a sweet little girl named Ellie.

The Heart Project is an amazing book of 100+ heart-related projects, crafts, and recipes made by and for children.

Yep, that’s our Stained Glass Heart Cookie at the bottom left! Our Jar of Hearts - which we made in connection with Toddler Approved’s 100 Acts of Kindness Project - also made it into the book.

By making a $5 donation to the American Heart Association, you will receive a free copy of The Heart Project eBook, featuring direct links to each and every heart project, art, craft and recipe, as well as links to each of the contributing bloggers’ sites.

If you’re a feel a book in your hands kind of person (like me), you can donate $20 for a beautiful 8.5 x 8.5 paperback version, which includes an index featuring the link and blog information. For each print version you buy, $5 goes to the American Heart Association.

If the book itself isn’t enough to make your heart thump, for every book sold, Craftprojectideas.com is donating $1 on your behalf (up to $500)!

Of course, if you can’t stand the thought of flipping through over 100 awesome heart-related art, craft, play and food kid-friendly activities, you can still join us in supporting the AHA by making a monetary donation of your choice:
