CRAVE IT. COVET. LOVE IT. This Week: Love Childcare On The Go
March 24, 2012 in All Posts, CRAVE IT. COVET. LOVE IT.
This week I’ve been loving the concept of childcare on the go, like Nanny in the clouds‘ in-flight nanny service:
How cool would it be to not have to worry about lugging your tots along with your luggage through airport security? And I thought the GoGo Babyz Kidz Travelmate was the ultimate travel lifesaver.
Read more about Nanny in the clouds here and here.
What do you think? Would you hire an in-flight nanny?

This is a really interesting concept! Traveling with small kids in airports and on planes is HARD- especially alone. I lost my driver’s license at an airport because I constantly had to have it out and I was managing the kids, stroller, bags, computer, shoes, jackets, etc…I’d consider it for sure if they could pair successfully. The article indicated the pairings hadn’t happened yet- Having to have a nanny on the same flight is a hard thing to sync- I’m not sure how to make the concept more cost effective and do-able. It would seem you’d have to pay for the nanny’s ticket- and a lot of folks could barely do that, I think- Where do you find this stuff? haha!
I don’t know if it would work for my kids since they’re slow to warm to strangers, but I do know a lot of people whose kids are much more at ease with new childcare situations, so maybe it would work for them. I just love the idea of extra help and not having to be the only one tending to their screaming and fidgeting! Oh, and I think in my area - where parents hire night nannies as standard practice - people would pay for it
