{Play} Flower Confetti
Here’s another Screen Free Week activity that will get your kids outdoors, playing with natural objects, and jumping and giggling until they fall down trying to catch their breath:
Flower Confetti
We have so many fallen wisteria blooms littering our yard that I’ve been meaning to rake up (Read: look at every day and walk by without doing anything). Then the lightbulb went off and I realized that the children would have an extra opportunity to play outdoors if they helped me with the task (Read: I realized that one of the reasons I had children was for them to do my housework).
My initial plan was to stuff and pop “balloons” made out of leaves and grass and filled with flowers for a fun new game, but once Jane got her hands on the petals, she had no other plan on her mind than to collect as many as she could in the grocery bag I gave her and then… throw them up in the air!
How have you been playing outdoors lately?
LEARN! Gross motor skills, outdoor play, nature
What fun! Her smile says it all! What a great memory.
I think she was so surprised I let her toss everything everywhere! It was definitely a “yes” day that day - those are the best
Thanks for visiting!
Aww, how fun! Reminds me of playing in leaves! Happy Teachers Appreciation Week!
Thanks, Deborah! You, too
