{Live} You Know You’re Off Your Rocker When…
June 25, 2012 in All Posts, Laugh
Things that would have sounded totally crazy to me 3 years ago are now completely normal.
This change happened to coincide with the birth of my first child, so my sleep-deprived brain tells me:
My kids literally have driven me crazy.
Thanks, guys.
You know you’re off your rocker nursing glider when:
- You think you look good in mom jeans
- Your idea of a good time is being in bed … alone
- You think there’s nothing wrong with drinking someone else’s (sippy cup) backwash
- You think Crocs are perfectly acceptable footwear
- You look forward to the kids getting sick - especially the stomach flu, so you can catch it & lose some stubborn baby weight
- Date night means folding laundry side by side & catching the tail end of last year’s summer blockbuster on TV… and you’re more than fine with that
- You think driving this
Me in the Minivan with awesome sliding doors making it easier to load both kids into the car at the same time
is way cooler than driving this
- You spend inordinate amounts of time reading mom blogs or writing your own.
When did loopy become totally normal for you? (Or are you still totally sane?)
Love it!
Love my minivan? Love my mom jeans? Not sure what part you love since it’s all just so fabulous! ha ha
I’m right there with ya! You know, I swore I would never buy crocs for my kids but then I realized they are the perfect potty training shoes: oops, kiddo has a pee accident, it runs down his legs into his shoes, just rinse the crocs off, no trying to wash out sneakers and then dry them.
Dear God, what has happened to me?!
That’s so funny, Julie, because I was SO anti-Crocs, until - like you - I discovered their usefulness! I actually wrote a post called “On Kids in Crocs and Things I Swore I’d Never Do“!
Love this…totally made me laugh- and so true!!!!
I love that we can all laugh at ourselves!
LOVE IT
- I’m completly off my rocker and joining you
Awesome! We crazy mom-bloggers are all finding comfort in each other’s company
All sounds totally normal and not the least bit insane to me!
Thanks for the vote of confidence
awesome.awesome. mini-van mojo!!!!!! whoop!!! whoop!!!! but we are not insane…..more just “logically challenged” or maybe “rationally disabled” for a brief 18 year period….
People are still giving me crap about the minivan move. Seriously, they are missing out!
