New Home For The Holidays

December 19, 2012 in All Posts, Sponsored Posts

The holidays are crazy: trying to finish up last minute projects at work, trying to check everyone off on your holiday gift list, being up to your eyeballs in sticky baked goods messes. Most people try to simplify during this hectic time, but I - of course - decided to throw more on my pretty Spode Christmas Tree plate, by moving me and my sick family into a new home. I know, I know. The insanity!

One of the things that was freaking me out in particular was how to get our new house ready for the holidays and make the children feel like they are truly at home in the new place. When I saw this cool Family Tree Wall Art canvas print, I knew a personalized print would be the perfect way to send the message that we were going to settle in our new nest.

Ordering was super easy. When I selected the canvas print style, I had the option to add one or two adult birds and up to four baby birds. We could also customize the last name of our family and the date underneath for the cute phrase, “Nesting since 2007.”

At first I wasn’t sure if I would like the canvas once it arrived, but it turned out to be supercute. And - I kid you not - we just met our new neighbors today and the mom said, “That’s so cute. Did you get it at RedEnvelope?”

You can check out RedEnvelope’s Christmas gifts here and don’t forget they offer tons of unique and customizable gifts for every occasion, not just the holidays.

These handcrafted presidents blocks are a fun, educational gift idea for President’s Day and the President’s inauguration in January:

And for moms, this is lovely in how simple it is, don’t you think?

And go ahead, make the cheeseball jokes, but I totally think it would be awesome to put these Because I Love You stones in hubby’s briefcase before he goes on business trips:

So now that I’m slowly getting the family settled into our new digs, I am going to have to face the reality that is Christmas shopping. Luckily, I know I have tons of options at RedEnvelope and there’s still time to order for Christmas delivery. There’s no way I’m going to be able to brave the malls this year with all that’s already on my plate.

Have you ever shopped at RedEnvelope? What’s your fave gift to give? (If you feel like getting me anything, I’d love something from the HOOTCH-OWL series, please!)

Disclaimer: I received a Red Envelope gift code to purchase a gift of my choice. As always, all opinions are my own.
