Materials

  • Candy canes
  • Ziplog bag
  • Rolling pin or pestle
  • Wooden cutting board

Fill a bag with candy canes.

This activity is such a great way to get your little ones involved in holiday baking and is a total time saver for you, too. But. Whatever you do. Don’t waste it on a Peppermint Oreo Cheesecake like my beautiful baking fail here:

Looked neat. Tasted like mouthwash. Word to the wise: a teaspoon of peppermint extract goes a loooong way. Please use discretion when wielding your bottle of peppermint extract. And whatever you do - don’t serve it to guests before trying a slice yourself. (Unless you’re fine with massive embarrassment).
