{Play} Bathtime Shadow Puppet Show
March 11, 2012 in All Posts, Play, Toddler Activities
The kids are crazy about their shadows and love locking themselves in a room, turning off the lights, and playing with flashlights to make shadows. To up the ante on the fun factor, we’ve taken this activity to the bath.
Materials
- A flashlight
- Something to rest the flashlight on
Step One
Turn off the lights and run the bath. Just this step and the kids will be shrieking with laughter and ooh’s and aah’s.
Step Two
Rest your flashlight on something at the children’s height. We simply rested the flashlight on the toilet tank.
Step Three

Happy Bathtime!
Brilliant idea! So simple & so creative, love it!
Thanks! Love your light bath - incredible photos! Looks like so much fun.
Chrissy, your photos are just awesome!!! Great idea to do shadow puppets in the bath- And thanks so much for the pingback on the glow bath!
Thanks, Tricia! Wish we had glow bracelets we could submerse in the water. We only have battery-operated glow sticks.
